**pdfjoin** is a small command-line tool that merges several PDF files into
one.

- **Keeps existing outlines:** bookmarks of the input PDFs are preserved.
- **Adds a section per file:** each input becomes a top-level bookmark named
  after the file.
- **Doesn't abort:** missing or non-PDF inputs are skipped with a warning.
- **No configuration:** one command, one dependency.

## Installation

It needs Python 3 and `pypdf`:

```
$ pip install pypdf
```

It is also available through the [pm user repository](pm-user-repository.md).

## Usage

```
$ python pdfjoin.py <output.pdf> <input1.pdf> <input2.pdf> ...
$ python pdfjoin.py merged.pdf chapter1.pdf chapter2.pdf chapter3.pdf
```
